Bacalar is located in the south of Quintana Roo one of the most touristic areas in Mexico. However this hidden gem remains quieter and less developed than other destinations. In 2006 it was named “Pueblo Mágico” which means magic town and it has slowly been growing, receiving a wide variety of tourism hypnotized by the shades of it's waters and dense jungle.
